How Email and Phone Search Credits work

Email search credits are needed to search for a persons email address for the first time. We will only charge one email credit per search, even if more than one email is found. Once you have found the email address once, then you will not use another credit if you search for it again in the future, as it belongs to you. Phone credits work in exactly the same way.

For clarity, email sending and receiving is unlimited, it is only the finding of an email for the first time that uses an email search credit.

Your credits can be found at the top of the WebApp and Extension.

Turn off Auto Email Searching

From your Chrome browser, you will need to right-click on the SourceWhale icon in the top right of your screen and then deselect "Auto Search Emails". No tick means the extension will not auto search emails when you open a list of contacts on the extension.

Search for work or personal email addresses only

From your Chrome browser, you will need to right-click on the SourceWhale icon in the top right of your screen and then select or deselect "Find Work Emails" or "Find Personal Emails". No tick means the extension will not search for that type of email address.

Note: Credits are spread across a team and NOT individual users.
