“Multiple company matches” warning

The SourceWhale extension will now display a warning if there are ‘Multiple company matches’ in your CRM/ATS. This warning means that you have more than one company with a similar name e.g. SourceWhale UK and SourceWhale Ltd.

This warning will be displayed if the following occurs:

  1. Open the extension over a contact profile in LinkedIn.

  2. Choose either to add the contact to a campaign, a project or to contacts.

  3. If there is a contact in your CRM/ATS that has a matching company name, the warning will appear. For example, if person X from a company called ‘SourceWhale UK’ existed in your CRM and you went to add ‘Hari Jackson’ from ‘SourceWhale Ltd’ to the CRM, the warning on the extension would appear.

  4. The reason for this warning, is because it gives you the chance to check if the contact you are adding does actually work for the same company, or if they work for a company with a matching name.

  5. If they do work for a different company but with a matching name, you are able to create a new company. If this occurs, the following warning will appear:

’New company’ warning.

The SourceWhale extension will now display a warning if a new company will be created within your CRM/ATS.

  1. Open the extension over a contact profile in LinkedIn.

  2. Choose either to add the contact to a campaign, a project or to contacts.

  3. You can create a new company to add the contact to in your CRM/ATS by clicking on the ‘Integrations’ tab on the SourceWhale extension.

  4. When you add this contact to SourceWhale, the contact will now be pushed into a new company in your CRM/ATS.

  5. The ‘New company’ warning will appear in the extension.
